Like entering any new market, it's important to do some research. Work with ARP to figure out the feasibility of your product line successfully entering & selling through in China, who your target demographic may be, what your competition looks like, where their price points are and what your pricing strategy needs to be. You won't find a lower cost, lower risk model to help you trial your product line in the Chinese market, but it is important that you are willing to invest some time and money into your expansion across one of the world's largest consumer markets.

The ARP platform can be used as a whole, or in pieces, depending on what your business needs, for both room temperature & cold chain products. For example, if you are selling wholesale products to a buyer which does not have importation licenses, ARP can act as your importer & arrange delivery to your buyer, or pick up at the ARP warehouse. If you are selling consumer products and looking to reach end buyers but you prefer to ship on your own, ARP can handle importation, platform listings and China-based logistics for your products, in addition to ARP's supporting marketing & brand building services. ARP recommends that for products to be featured on the ARP Marketplace, they should have a shelf life of at least one year. Not sure your products are right for China or for online sales? Get in touch with us.

The purpose of the partnership is to bring multiple Canadian producers together to minimize the costs of the supply chain, as well as improve the marketability of the ARP Marketplace. Although a minimum of one pallet is preferred for consolidated shipping, though consolidating pallets with another producer can be an option as well, there is no minimum order requirement for participation on the platform. You can choose to ship one case, or one container, and you will still be able to sell direct to consumer and test out the market before committing to large quantities. ARP Marketplace platform fees are also only charged on products sold. Want an understanding of what costs will be upfront? Get in touch with us.

So long as your products remain in the ARP warehouse, you own & control them. If you will be attending a trade show and you need samples shipped to a venue/hotel, or samples sent to your distributor/prospective buyer, or you just made a sale and you want product delivered to a buyer, just send the ARP Team an email with instructions for shipment and we will handle dispatch and send you a tracking number. For certain product types, ARP is able to work with your brand as a distributor. It is highly encouraged that you continue to market & promote your products and brand to other distributors and think of us as your supply chain & sales partner. With your products already for sale in China's domestic market, distributors will find your product line a lot more attractive to carry knowing that it can be imported successfully and is already selling. Every month, you will also receive an inventory report and for those selling through the ARP Marketplace, a sales report.
